Help clean up the cemetery on May 19

In preparation for Memorial Day, Mullen Commercial Club is organizing a day to spruce up Mullen’s Cedarview Cemetery. The beautification project is Sunday, May 19.

Tuesday, April 23rd the Hooker County GOP was excited to have Elizabeth Tegtmeier who was just elected to be the president of the Nebraska State Board of Education for this upcoming year after only being elected as a member 15 months ago. This is the first time a conservative from District 7 has ever been elected as president.

The West District Club meeting met at the Lincoln County Extension office in North Platte on Tuesday, April 2. West District Director Marge Surber of Sidney opened the meeting by all giving the flag salute. Lois Folk and Winnie Cooley were of the seven persons attending. The craft project was to make two greeting cards using scrapbooking style.

Tractor Safety program to be held in North Platte May 21, 22

Nebraska Extension and Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Public Health, have announced plans for the annual “tractor safety” training courses scheduled at 8 sites across Nebraska in late May and early June.
