Seth Hower of Mullen graduated from Calvary University on May 9. The ceremony was held at South Haven Baptist Church in Belton, Missouri. Hower received a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Theology and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry, graduating with high honors.

A flock of flamingos is projected to land in Mullen during the months of May, June and July. As a fundraiser for National FCCLA in Washington, D.C., the Mullen qualifiers are moving the flamingos nightly.
