Update from Senator Tom Brewer, 43rd District

04-23-2021 There have been three property tax reduction bills debated on the floor of the legislature this month. There will be more coming up. Two of these bills advanced to the next round of debate, and one has been killed. LB 408 by Senator Briese was killed by a filibuster on a 29–8 vote.

Greetings to all. We hope you have all had a great week. We have kept busy with activities, restorative and visits. I’m putting the finishing touches on the May calendar. National “Skilled” Nursing Home Week and National Nurses Week all happen in the month of May.

43rd District 4-16-2021 LB 51 is a bill introduced by Senator Steve Lathrop. He is the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and this bill is one that he made a committee priority.

43rd District - 3-26-2021 I recently learned of a site in western Nebraska where the remains of obsolete wind turbines are being temporarily stored. This concerned me very much because I do not want any new landfill created in Nebraska for the disposal of wind turbine blades.
