The 2022 Mullen Alumni Association banquet was held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Lariat Auditorium with 239 attending.
Mullen Alumni Association President Mark Hassett welcomed everyone.

The banquet prime rib was cooked by Highway 2 BBQ - Dan Vest and CR Jewell; Ben and Jaime Hart made the sides, salads and rolls; the Alumni Association purchased the cupcakes and leader Sooky Marks was once again there with Mullen Girl Scouts serving drinks.
Thank you to everyone who donated raffle items and purchased tickets, this is our main fundraiser for the Mullen Alumni Scholarship fund. The 2022 scholarship recipients were Callie Coble, Sean Simonson and Jordyn McDowell. Callie and Sean helped draw and announce this year’s raffle winners:

Three families of MHS alumni were recognized.
Dean Marshall, celebrating his 70th year reunion as a member of the class of 1952 had all of his children present, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Children - Fred Marshall 1974, Donna Marshall Boyer 1976 and husband Ron Boyer 1975, Deanna Marshall Simonson 1977 and husband Tim Simonson 1976 and Della Marshall Urdiales 1981. Grandchildren - Jason Marshall 1997, Brandi Simonson Kearns 2007 and Jared Simonson 2011. Greatgrandchildren - Emily Boyer 2017 and Hanna Marshall 2021.
Clyde Sexton, also a member of the 70 year class of 1952, had daughters Carol Sexton Alishouse 1995 and Susan Sexton Steel 1978 present. His son, the late Dale Sexton, graduated in 1983. The Patch family was also

The oldest alumni in attendance at the banquet were Fedora Humphrey Groenewold 1938 and Frank Harding 1939. They are both 100 years old.
The 70 year class of 1952 was introduced. They were wearing corsages donated by Lyn’s Petals and Plants - Robert Benner, Rosalie Sullivan Bullington, Dean Marshall and Clyde Sexton.
The 60 year class of 1962 was introduced by MC Marsha Long Sukup. She introduced her husband Mel, Russell Evans and his wife Lanita, Bonnie Haney Porath, Gloria Smith Blakely and Shirley Sexton Sweet and her husband Ralph Wallace.
The 50 year class of 1972 was presented with their 50-year pins. MC Bruce Bader introduced his wife Patty Isom Bader, Gary Boyer, Judy Elliott Cool and her husband Jerry, Belinda Daly and her husband Bill, Ronald Dooley and Leann Long Dooley, Don Hampton and his wife Teresa Emmons Hampton, Ron Jones and Jean Ginkens Jones, Gary Little and his wife Margaret Macke Little, Ralph Miller, Dorri Jenkins Neumeyer and her husband Dan, Oley Olson and Julie Simonson Olson, Cherry Vallentine, Jan Vallentine and Ron Patch.
Pam Huddle Ginkens introduced her 40 year classmates in attendance, the class of 1982. Bill DeNaeyer and his wife Karen, Bryan Starr and his wife Ann, Will Donohoe, Shawnna Kramer Gardner, Tammy Russell Jones, Anne French Kauk, Lisa Coble Lannigan, Bobbie McKenzie Licking and her husband Jess, Brenda Sweet Nichols, Ed Reynolds, Rhonda Sexton, Paula Roseberry Simonson and her husband Dean, Coleen Boyles Springman, Lori Tuton, Tom Hoatson and guest Erin.
The class of 1992, celebrating their 30th year, was introduced by J.D. Furrow, who introduced his wife Christi and Matt Rogers and his wife Kaylyn.
Jesse Jacobs introduced his 2022 classmates present for their 20 year - Jesse and wife Kady, Nick Brost and his wife Ashley, Sharlie Neumeye Shimmin and guest Shane Campbell, Jeri Ewoldt Graff and Dessa Boyer Cooksley.
Tyrell Wilson introduced the members of the class of 2012 present to celebrate their 10 year reunion - his wife Kali, Duell Puttergill and his wife Tatyana, Jincy Osborn Ross and her husband Justin, James Starr, Michaela Jochem Straub and Kally Wilson.
The class of 2022 was introduced by Samuel Coble - Sean Simonson, Callie Coble, Andrew Harvey, Brady Oltmer and Faith Miller.
The annual meeting of the Mullen Alumni Association was called to order by President Mark Hassett.

For new business, two picnic tables were purchased by the Mullen Alumni Association with memorial money this spring. They were among the picnic tables at the Family Fun Night on Friday night. Mark Hassett also mentioned that new tables for the Lariat will need to be purchased in a couple years, if members could keep that in mind for donations or memorials.
Members were reminded that Mullen Alumni Yearbook update sheets were available and to stop on their way out to pick them up, a free will pancake breakfast would be held the next morning at the Lariat from 7-10 a.m. and a street dance would begin at 8 p.m. west of the Chuckwagon.
Ron Boyer made the motion to adjourn the meeting of the Mullen Alumni Association and Stephanie Wright Guy seconded it.
