Village of Mullen Board to hold informational meeting

by Gerri Peterson
The Village of Mullen Board will be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hooker County Community Center.
On Village of Mullen residents’ ballot for the Primary Election on May 14, residents will be voting for or against a one-half percent sales and use tax increase in addition to the Village’s current one percent tax, and an increase in the Village’s budgeted restricted funds for the 2023-24 fiscal year by $90,000 (20%).
If passed, the Village of Mullen Board would use the funds for upgrading Village infrastructure.
The board and the agent they are working with will be present to provide information and answer questions the public may have at the meeting.
