Mullen native Madison Tomlinson runs 187 miles in 3.5 days

information submitted by Julia Kerrigan Mullen native Madison Tomlinson, now a Grand Junction, Colorado, resident, recently completed running a 187 mile loop around western Colorado’s Grand Valley in just three and a half days.

Local Memorial Day programs set

A Sunset Service will be held at Dry Valley Church on Sunday, May 26 at 7:00 p.m. with Dawn Mallory delivering the message.The church is located 14 miles north of Mullen on Highway 97, then 3 miles west.Mullen’s Memorial Day program will be Monday, May 27 at the Lariat at 10:00 a.m.

Help clean up the cemetery on May 19

In preparation for Memorial Day, Mullen Commercial Club is organizing a day to spruce up Mullen’s Cedarview Cemetery.The beautification project is Sunday, May 19. We will begin at noon and lunch will be provided. Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.

State Board of Education member speaks in Mullen

Tuesday, April 23rd the Hooker County GOP was excited to have Elizabeth Tegtmeier who was just elected to be the president of the Nebraska State Board of Education for this upcoming year after only being elected as a member 15 months ago.
