29 units collected at blood drive

Twenty-nine units of blood were donated at the blood drive Jan. 3, including two power red donations (double donations of red blood cells). We were just short of our goal of 31 units. We had several donors who reached donation milestones.

Many areas of Nebraska experienced a picturesque winter wonderland last week for a couple days after dense fog. These photos were taken in Mullen last Thursday, Jan. 4.

Be aware of fishing regulation changes for 2024

Anglers need to be aware of fishing regulation changes in Nebraska that take effect Jan. 1, 2024. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s changes to 2024 fishing rules are: Archery Paddlefish – Archery paddlefish permit holders may harvest paddlefish in the spillway below Gavins Point Dam.
