Jennings earns MPCC honor cords by completing college credits

Mid-Plains Community College will award 318 honor cords to area high school seniors to wear at their graduation ceremonies this spring. The cords are used to recognize students who have taken the initiative to pursue college credit while still in high school.

Macy Thompson of Rapid City, South Dakota, spent overnight at Kenny and Sharilyn Bader’s Monday, March 29. She went back out to grandma Jill Buchfinck’s Tuesday night. Macy came back and helped with Easter games at Women’s Bible Study Wednesday and stayed overnight again.

Steve and Nancy Labbe of Hudson, Colorado, spent the weekend at Larry and Georgann French’s. They all went to Mike and Leanne French’s for Easter dinner, along with Stuart and Leah Carson. Mick and Midge Harding went to Lloyd and Dani Harding’s at Broadwater Saturday for an early Easter.

South Cherry

The Bob Marshes went to North Platte Wednesday. They attended services for Phyllis Priest at the First Christian Church. They had pizza at the Bob Davis’ Saturday evening for an early supper. Bob and Peggy went to Broken Bow Friday. Bob went to Kraye’s bull sale Saturday.

People who purchase Girl Scout Cookies have the option to donate the cookies through Gift of Sharing. This year 59 boxes of cookies were purchased this way and the Mullen Girl Scouts donated them to Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home.
