In 2016 the Hefty Energy Bag program launched in Nebraska. A group of companies banded together to develop and introduce a program in Omaha, Nebraska, called Hefty Energy Bag, which has been designed to convert hard-to-recycle plastics into energy.

National Finals Breakaway Roping results

Local cowgirls Katie Mundorf of Mullen and Kirby Eppert of Seneca competed in the Inaugural National Finals Breakaway Roping last week at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, during the National Finals Rodeo. Both women made some money on the trip in the 10 rounds in 3 days, December 8-10.
