Hooker County receives dividend check

Lincoln – Hooker County has received a membership dividend in the amount of $324 from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), the county’s property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider.

Wanted: Nebraska parks photos from the past

Lincoln - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is seeking vintage photographs highlighting Nebraska parks for the Nebraska State Parks 100-year anniversary in 2021. The photographs will be featured in Nebraskaland Magazine and online throughout the year.

4 active COVID-19 cases

Two more Hooker County COVID-19 cases were entered into the West Central District Health Department Dashboard last week. As of press time on Tuesday, Oct. 13 Hooker County had 4 active cases.

Joy Club to begin

The Mullen Joy Club came to a screeching halt last spring when COVID-19 hit, but it is time to try again. Joy Club will have their first meeting, Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the Assembly of God Church basement in Mullen after school until 5:00 p.m.

Hunter Ed in Mullen

32 units of blood donated on Monday

Thirty-two units of blood were donated on Monday, Oct. 12 at the Sandhills Community Bible Church. This total number included 28 whole blood units and 2 double red blood cell units. Thank you to the American Red Cross for coming to Mullen and providing this service for the community.
