Sandhills Dog Expo to be in Mullen Saturday, April 26

Hooker and Thomas County 4-H programs are working together to host a Sandhills Dog Expo on Saturday, April 26 at the Hooker County Fairgrounds beginning at 8:00 a.m., open to the public.The event is free for all 4-H members and parents and $10 for anyone not affiliated with 4-H.

United Women in Faith hold March meeting

Nebraska Birding Bowl is back

Participate in the third Nebraska Birding Bowl and learn about birds, enjoy the outdoors and contribute data toward bird conservation. This fun, free statewide competition is returning this May for Nebraska Bird Month.

Construction begins at Hyannis area lakes

Construction has begun on new amenities at Frye Lake and Avocet Lake near Hyannis. If all goes according to schedule, anglers will have an easier time launching boats at both locations by the end of the summer.

17th annual Polar Bear Tank Race held last month
