FRIDAY, JULY 24 - TUESDAY, AUGUST 4

Goodwill trailer on the south side of the Hooker County Courthouse.

Trailer will be on site after 12:00 p.m. on the first day of the drive and will be picked up by 12:00 p.m. on the last day of the drive.

FRIDAY, JULY 24

7:30 - 9:00 p.m. - Night Swim at swimming pool, incoming grades K-5, $5.

9:00 - 10:30 p.m. - Night Swim at swimming pool, incoming grades 6-12, $5.

SATURDAY, JULY 25

8:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Registration for Hooker Motor Club’s Annual Rumble In The Hills Auto Show at Hooker County Fairgrounds. Register by contacting Tanner Crisp at 308-546-9265. Hot Rods, Street Rods, Classics, Motorcycles, Customs, Trucks, Little Tikes/Power Wheels.

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Hooker Motor Club’s Rumble in the Hills Auto Show at fairgrounds. Highway 2 Depot will be serving lunch.

2:15 p.m. - Auto Show awards at fairgrounds.

SUNDAY, JULY 26

8:00 a.m. - 3 Person Scramble Golf Tournament registration, Mullen Golf Course.

Pre-register by calling Trevor Kuncl 308-223-0803 or Chris Kuncl 402-699-1754. Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.

Flag prizes on every hole with payouts. Flights will be determined on the number of teams.

4:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Family softball game at the baseball field. All ages welcome!

4:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Mullen FCCLA Dirty Sodas at the baseball field concession stand.

5:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Barbeque at the baseball field. Free will donation.

6:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Coed slow pitch softball game at baseball field. Jr. high and up welcome to play! Come enjoy some good old fashioned fun.

MONDAY, JULY 27

8:00 a.m. - 4-H and Open Class Dog & Small Animal Show at fairgrounds. Open Class animals must provide updated vaccination info.

1:00 p.m. - 4-H Style Revue judging only at Hooker County Community Center.

3:00 p.m. - Water Carnival registration at Mullen Swimming Pool (or register earlier during regular pool hours).

3:00 p.m. - Ribbon cutting for new Swimming Pool Park pavilion.

3:30 p.m. - Water Carnival at Mullen Swimming Pool. Some baby pool and big pool events will run at the same time.

3:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Mullen FCCLA Dirty Sodas at the Swimming Pool Park pavilion.

4:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Barbeque at the Swimming Pool Park pavilion. Free will donation.

TUESDAY, JULY 28

8:00 a.m. - 4-H Horse Show at fairgrounds.

5:00 p.m. - Bicycle Rodeo, registration at fairgrounds. Start time is 6:00 p.m. Pre-K-incoming 6th grade. Free.

7:00 p.m. - Public 4-H Style Revue, Hooker County Community Center.

7:00 p.m. - “Showdown at Sundown” Melodrama, Hooker County Community Center.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 29

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Mullen Arts Center open.

5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Taco Feed, Hooker County Community Center. Free will donation - Lions Club fundraiser for Vision and Hearing Screening at Mullen and Thedford Public Schools.

6:30 p.m. - Bingo, free, Hooker County Community Center.

THURSDAY, JULY 30

8:00 a.m. - noon - Enter 4-H and Open Class exhibits at Hooker County Community Center. (Closed to public at 1:00 p.m. for judging.)

8:00 a.m. - noon - 4-H static entry and interview judging at Community Center.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Mullen Arts Center open.

1:00 p.m. - Exhibit building closed to the public for judging.

5:30 p.m. - Exhibit building open to the public.

6:00 p.m. - Open Art Studio, Mullen Arts Center. All ages welcome, $10 donation to show your love and support.

6:00 p.m. - Jackpot Goat Roping. Fairgrounds arena. Register on site, 200 team limit. $10/team or $5/person.

9:00 p.m. - Movie in the Park, west of Hooker County Library. Free family entertainment showing “Hopper.” Bring your lawn chairs.

(In case of rain, movie will be canceled.) Popcorn provided Dayspring Bank. Cotton Candy provided by DK Creations.

FRIDAY, JULY 31

7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Citywide Garage Sales. (Maps will be available from local merchants.)

8:00 a.m. - Exhibit building open to the public.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Mullen Arts Center open.

2:00 p.m. - Cornhole Tournament at fairgrounds. Show up with your team! No entry fee or preregistration.

3:00 p.m. - Mullen Ranch Rodeo at fairgrounds. Rules meeting followed by cowboy auction and rodeo. Team Loading & Branding, Double Muggin’, Calf Scramble ages 10-14, Team Sorting, Wild Cow Milkin’, Ranch Bronc Riding. Proceeds to benefit Mullen Ranch Rodeo Scholarship. Concessions by Highway 2 Depot.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1

7:00 a.m. - 4-H livestock weigh-in at fairgrounds.

8:00 a.m. - 4-H Livestock Show at fairgrounds.

8:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Exhibit building open.

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Exhibits released from building. No early release. Cash premiums available for pick up at building.

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Mullen Arts Center open.

12:00 - 2:00 p.m. - Hooker County Historical Society Old Hotel Museum open to the public.

12:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Assembly of God Church Ice Cream Social in church basement.

Serving hot fudge brownie and strawberry sundaes.

12:15 p.m. - Line up for parade on west/north side of high school (facing west).

Business, Adult Organizations, Youth Organizations, Horses, Vehicles, Best Decorated Small Vehicle, Foot Powered divisions, and overall placings!

1:00 p.m. - Parade. Bring your lawn chairs to the courthouse lawn!

1:30 p.m. - Pedal Tractor Pull, on the street north of courthouse (youth only).

1:30 p.m. - Turtle Race entries open - no water turtles.

2:30 p.m. - Turtle Races on the street north of courthouse.

5:00 p.m. - 4-H Livestock Auction at fairgrounds.

5:30 - 7:00 p.m. - Hooker County Ag Society Barbecue at fairgrounds. Free will donation.

7:00 p.m. - Pig Wrestling at fairgrounds. 4/team. Youth 6th grade and younger: $20/team, junior and senior high: $40/team, men and women teams: $40/team. Teams are limited.
