On a hot blustery October day at the Mullen Golf Club, the Mullen Bronco cross country team was able to show our community how hard they have been working this season. The team brought home MNAC Boys Team Champion, 3 MNAC individual Champions, 3 runner-ups and Junior High Girls MNAC Team Champion last Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Junior Trevor Kuncl was the boys MNAC champion, senior Hayden Jennings was the boys runner-up and sophomore Alex Moore finished 9th.
Junior Callie Coble was the girls MNAC champion and senior Josey French was runner-up.
Junior High ran 1.86 miles. Peyton Paxton was the MNAC junior high girls champ, Tierston Moore was runner up, Medora DeNaeyer was 9th, Brooke Williams 12th and Allie Boyer 17th.
For the junior high boys, Cayden Hampton was 4th and Alex Werner was 8th.
Overall I am so proud of my seven junior high runners and how much they have improved and pushed themselves this season. This was their last meet this season and I hope they look back on the road trips and realize they made history, beings they are the first junior high team to place as a team.
