It’s alumni weekend for Mullen High School! Here’s the schedule for the weekend with activities for everyone - alumni or not!
Friday, June 7
8-10 a.m. - Stop in at Dayspring Bank for a free breakfast burrito and coffee
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Old Commercial Hotel Museum open
11 a.m. - Beer Garden opens - Highway 2 Depot
1-4 p.m. - Pie by the Slice Sale at Old Hotel Museum
5:30-7:30 p.m. - Friday Fun Night at the high school Hilltop Gym
*Ella Rice, Kalli Licking & Medora DeNaeyer’s NaKaOi Volleyball Hawaii trip fundraiser meal
*Miniature Golf Alumni Style - free for all ages!
*Cotton Candy Stand by the Lions Club
*High School open to wander down memory lane
7 p.m. - Adult Art Workshop, Mullen Arts Center. Create a Husker-themed or summer-themed door hanging! $25/person, all supplies provided. RSVP with Nicole at 308-546-7016.
7:30-8:50 p.m. - Night Swim for incoming K-5th grades, Mullen Swimming Pool, $3
8-10 p.m. - Cornhole Tournament, Highway 2 Depot. $20/team, cash pay back. Fundraiser for MHS Alumni Association.
9-10:30 p.m. - Night Swim for incoming 6-12th grades, Mullen Swimming Pool, $4
Saturday, June 8
9 a.m. - Yoga for every BODY with instructor Mellissa Donohoe - green space near the tennis court (old rest home building if inclement weather), $10. Bring whatever makes you comfortable and brings you joy. This might include a mat, blocks, water, strap, blanket or friend.
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Old Commercial Hotel Museum open
10-11 a.m. - Youth Art Workshop, Mullen Arts Center. Create a fun summer-themed craft! $8/child, all supplies provided. Please bring your own paint shirt. RSVP with Nicole at 308-546-7016.
11 a.m. - Beer Garden opens - Highway 2 Depot
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - BBQ sponsored by Mullen Commercial Club, Hooker County Community Center
Class reunions held in the afternoon
5 p.m. - Lariat open to reminisce
6 p.m. - Alumni banquet at Lariat
8 p.m. - Street Dance - music provided by Kyle Hoyt, on the street west of the Highway 2 Depot
