MHS senior Jacob Wingebach was selected as the Nebraska Class D Unified Wrestling Participant through the Nebraska School Activity Association (NSAA).
This honor qualifies Jacob to wrestle in the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha on Friday, Feb. 21. Only two students in the state were selected.
His match will start the semi-final round in front of 15,000 wrestling fans. He will wrestle his teammate and fellow senior, friend, and sparring partner, Jarren Forsen at 6:00 p.m. CST.
Jacob was chosen for this honor because of his dedication to the sport of wrestling and his consistent participation and development with the Mullen Broncos.
This is a first for the state of Nebraska, and should be a memorable night for all involved.
