Ryan and Shelby Ridenour are big Halloween fans. Known for their family themed costumes, they and their daughter Anna have dressed up as the Lego people, Top Gun, Hocus Pocus, Barbie, Bluey and more over the years.
This year Anna’s costume request is Elf on the Shelf, so look out for the Ridenours’ take on that theme.
But Elf on the Shelf got Shelby thinking about a Halloween version of the elf who moves every night of December.
Meet Skelly.
Since Sept. 30, Skelly the skeleton has been full of antics in Ridenour’s yard.
He first showed up on their front porch sitting in a chair reading none other than the Hooker County Tribune!
Then his attire changed to Mullen Bronco gear for a home football game.
He’s been in a tree, sitting in Ryan’s pickup, mowing the lawn, in a spiderweb in the fence, on the ground with crows all over him, dressed like Little Mermaid and more.
Shelby said she has enough ideas for him to move every day until Halloween, with some series planned - and maybe even some additional characters appearing.
So make sure you do a slow cruise by 306 NW 2nd St in Mullen and see what Skelly’s up to!
