Freshmen playing The Hunger Games

Mullen High School freshmen English students are exploring The Hunger Games through an interactive, novel-based simulation that brings the text to life. Each week, students participate as tributes - racing for supplies, forming alliances, answering higher-level thinking questions to gain arena support, and navigating challenges like escaping “mutts” while blindfolded These experiences deepen comprehension, promote critical thinking, and help students fully immerse themselves in the world of the novel.
