Free healthcare rides for local veterans

    Hooker County Transit received the first checks from Open Plains Transit last Tuesday, Jan. 20.

    Veterans are now able to get free rides to access healthcare from Hooker County Transit. This not only includes veterans residing in Hooker County, but also Thomas, McPherson and Logan counties.

    The transportation is then paid for by Open Plains Transit.
