Mullen Public Schools’ Honors Night was held Monday, April 24 at the Lariat, where K-12th grade students’ artwork was also on display. During Honors Night, students were recognized for their academic achievements throughout the school year.

Broncos sweep own art show

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen students swept their own art show held last Tuesday, April 11 at the Lariat. For the high school division, Mullen placed first with 145 points out of 8 schools, ahead of Arnold’s 90 points and Paxton’s 44 points.

The Mullen 2nd and 3rd grade students recently attended a science fair at the high school put on by the Chemistry 1 and 2 students. The students got to learn and take part in activities with chemical reactions, density, non-newtonian material and pressure.

March elementary Pizza with the Principal winners

Pizza with the Principal is a reward for six Mullen Elementary School students, which features one student from each grade level. This is the elementary school’s version of student of the month. Each grade level will have one award winner each month.

Mullen competes at Inter-High Day

About 440 students from 23 area high schools competed for scholarships and other prizes during the 54th annual Inter-High Day at North Platte Community College Wednesday, March 29. The scholastic contest was spread across NPCC’s north and south campuses.
