Peters graduates, named to Dean’s List

Brandon Peters of Mullen graduated from Southeast Community College Milford campus with high distinction on Dec. 16, 2022. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Electrical & Electromechanical Technology. Peters was also named to the Dean’s List for the term completed in December.

Coble, Emerson, Phipps named to dean’s lists

Brookings, S.D. - South Dakota State University announces Callie Coble* of Mullen, Nebraska, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2022 semester. Coble is a student in SDSU’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.

Two members of the Mullen Board of Education were presented with plaques recognizing their years of service at their last meeting in December. Bryan Starr (pictured) served on the board for 18 years and Jason Coble served for 16 years. Both men opted not to run for another term.

UNK graduate addition

An addition to local University of Nebraska at Kearney graduates that ran in last week’s issue is: Emily Ady, Bachelor of Arts in Education in Social Science Education - Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00 grade-point average). Emily was also named Outstanding History Student.

December Pizza with the Principal

These six Mullen Elementary School students were nominated for Pizza with the Principal for the month of December. This award is the elementary school’s version of student of the month.
