2nd grade takes field trip to North Platte

On Wednesday, May 4th, the second grade class took a field trip to the North Platte Community Playhouse, Cody Park and Garden Glove Greenhouse in North Platte. We started the morning at the theater, where we enjoyed being on stage, seeing the dressing rooms, and seeing all the different costumes.

With a dozen exchange zones around the track, an all school relay was held as part of the Mullen Elementary Field Day last Wednesday, May 11. With teams of students made up of all grade levels, the red team came out victorious in this relay.

Chadron - Shayna Stichka of Mullen, Nebraska, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Chadron State College May 7. The college hosted a combined ceremony to honor students earning bachelor’s degrees.

The Mullen 2nd grade students are proud authors and illustrators of a book! They worked together to complete the writing process. They brainstormed a ton of different ideas to write about and ended with a story about a panini sandwich with pickles.

The MNAC Art Show was held in Arnold on Thursday, April 28, with Mullen once again claiming the championship in both the high school and junior high divisions. Out of 13 other teams, the high school earned 69 points, ahead of Sandhills’ 61 points.
