  • Brooke McCully of Mullen made her college rodeo debut a big success September 15-17 by placing second in breakaway roping at the Chadron State rodeo. Her times were 2.1 and 2.5 seconds. Now a junior at Chadron State, Brooke was on the Eagles’ basketball team the previous two years, but switched to rodeo this fall. There were 97 breakaway ropers at the rodeo.
