Mullen youth football and wrestling camp held

A youth football and wrestling camp was held in Mullen last Monday and Tuesday, July 7-8, for grades 3-8. The football portion was held in the mornings and the wrestling camp was held in the afternoons.
Grades 3-6 had their camp in the morning and are pictured above, l-r: Abbigail Mundorf, Gina Chambers, Lillian Ericksen (earned the camp Hustle Award), Ella Walz, Avery Vinton, Emri Dent, Sadie Hoyt, Parker Vinton, Ayden Lee, Kendall Phipps, Marki Finney. Chambers Traveling Volleyball Camp held in Mullen

The Chambers Traveling Volleyball Camp was held at the Hilltop Gym last Tuesday, July 8. Gina Chambers challenged the girls with some new drills and helped fine-tune their fundamental volleyball skills.

Hayden Deibler, an incom ing Mullen seventh grader, attended the Mike Trader Mid-America Basketball Camp this summer at Grand Island Central Catholic.

Mullen Marksmen compete at Daisy Nationals

Women’s League July 1st was a women’s scramble. Low gross score was Rachel Peers and Wynn Cannon with 37.Flag prize winners were Jessica Polt with the longest putt using anything but your putter on #2 and Terra Boyer with closest to the pin in two hits on #8.

The Broncos will play Stapleton in the championship game this Thursday, June 26, in Mullen. The consolation game will begin at 4:30 p.m., with Mullen’s game to follow about 6:00-6:30 p.m. Concessions will be available.

Chadron State College senior Brooke McCully of Mullen placed third in the final go-round of breakaway roping at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming, on Saturday night, June 21, and was eighth in the final standings among the 61 cowgirls who qualified for the event.
