Wrestling team competes back to back

Lady Broncos go into holiday break 4-1

by Gerri Peterson The Lady Broncos left Anselmo-Merna last Thursday, Dec. 19 with their first loss of the season, 34-53.The Broncos were only able to score in the double digits in the fourth quarter, when they outscored the Coyotes 12-9, but it was too late.

Broncos lose one and win one in close games

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Broncos traveled to Anselmo-Merna last Thursday, Dec. 19, coming home with a close 44-49 loss.With a halftime score of 25-26, the Coyotes outscored the Broncos 13-7 in the third quarter and maintained their lead.

by Gerri Peterson The C1 Valentine Badgers were too much for the D2 Mullen Broncos to handle last Tuesday, Dec. 10 on the road, being defeated 22-59.Jacob Walker led the Broncos with 11 points, 1 rebound and 1 deflection.Ben Werner: 7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 deflections, 1 assist.

Broncos win close season opener against Sutherland

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Broncos hosted the D1 Sutherland Sailors last Thursday, Dec. 5 for their basketball season opener.The entire game was close, with the halftime score being 20-17.

Volleyball honors

The Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World-Herald have released their volleyball postseason honors.Mullen Broncos receiving honorable mention from the Lincoln Journal Star were Kalli Licking, Ella Rice, Jenna Donohoe and Brynne McCully.

Lady Broncos dominate Sutherland
