Lady Broncos end volleyball season in sub-district final

In the first round of subdistricts, the Bronco volleyball team faced the Hyannis Longhorns on Monday, Oct. 28 in Thedford. The girls came out victorious winning in 3 sets, 25-8, 25-10, 25-20.

NSAA volleyball, football on Nebraska Public Media

Lincoln – November brings NSAA state high school volleyball and football championships to Nebraska Public Media.Volleyball championships are Saturday, Nov. 9 with Class D-2 at 9 a.m., followed by Class D-1 at 11 a.m., Class C-2 at 1 p.m., Class C-1 at 3 p.m., Class B at 5 p.m., Class A at 7 p.m.

Forsen, McCully see success on CSC rodeo team

Broncos fall in first playoff game

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Bronco football team ended their season in the first round of playoffs last Thursday, Oct. 24, being defeated by Axtell 20-44.“We had a good match-up with Axtell in the playoffs,” Head Coach Wade Marsh said.

Cross country team places 6th at state

by Harper Andersen, MHS sophomore On Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, the Lady Bronco cross country team competed at the state meet in Kearney. It was near-perfect weather with minimal wind, perfect for all athletes competing.The Lady Broncos finished 6th as a team with 63 points.

Lady Broncos finish 4th in MNAC tournament

by Hayley Donohoe, MHS junior and Gerri Peterson The Lady Broncos battled the Twin Loup Wolves in the first round of the MNAC volleyball tournament on Thursday, Oct. 17 in Merna.They won in three sets, 25-13, 25-11, 25-21.

State Cross Country bound!

On Oct. 17, 2024, the Bronco cross country team competed at the D6 District meet at Grant, Nebraska. It was a very successful day!The runners had to place in the top 15 to make it to the state meet or get in the top 3 as a team.

Broncos to host first round playoff game Thursday

The Mullen Bronco football team cruised to an 84-12 victory over the Bayard Tigers last Thursday night to finish their regular season.“After turning the ball over and giving up a touchdown, I thought we settled down and played well,” Head Coach Wade Marsh said.
