Eclipse Dismal River Run results

Broncos shut out Longhorns

In what Head Coach Wade Marsh called “our best performance of the season,” the MHS football team shut out the Hyannis Longhorns in Hyannis last Friday night, Sept. 15, 44-0. “Our guys played a great game this week,” Coach Marsh said.

Lady Broncos are runners-up at Run at the Rocks

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen cross country teams ran at the Run at the Rocks Invite in Bridgeport last Tuesday, Sept. 12. The junior high ran 1.5 miles, with Kaisley Phipps placing 2nd with a 12:05.87 and Abby Gracey placing 5th with a 12:53.61. The high school ran a 5K (3.1 miles).

by Gerri Peterson The MHS girls golf team competed at the Hershey Invite at Lake Maloney on Monday, Sept. 11. Corynn Corbin had a 56 and 51 for a 107 and 8th place. Ashlyn Simonson: 62 and 59 - 121; Hope Miller: 74 and 72 - 146; Brooke Williams: 75 and 73 - 148.

Lady Broncos win in 3 sets at Hyannis

Last Tuesday, Sept. 12 the Lady Broncos hosted a triangular with Wallace and Sutherland. They first faced Wallace, falling 8-25, 7-25.

Broncos improve to 3-0 with road game win

The Mullen Broncos traveled to Tryon to take on the Sandhills Valley (Stapleton and Tryon) Mavericks last Thursday, Sept. 7, coming home with a 40-18 win. “It was another good win for us this week,” Head Coach Wade Marsh said. “It was our first road game and we played like it in the first half.
