VBS set for June 10-14

Mullen Methodist Vacation Bible School will be held June 10-14, 9 a.m. to noon each day. This year’s theme is God’s Workshop of Wonders. The program and a potluck lunch will be held Sunday, June 16 at 11 a.m. All are welcome.VBS is for children ages potty trained 3-year-olds to sixth grade.

America’s fallen remembered at Mullen’s Memorial Day program

by Gerri Peterson Two of Mullen’s veterans were presented with Quilts of Valor at the Memorial Day program at the Lariat in Mullen on Monday, May 27.Quilts of Valor are quality, handmade quilts that are machine or hand quilted and awarded to a service member or veteran who has been touched by war.

Nebraska State Board of Education District 7 Representative This spring the Nebraska State Board of Education considered a motion by Kirk Penner to prohibit books with sexually explicit content in school libraries.

Donate blood next Wednesday, May 29

Mullen - Donated blood is a lifesaving gift most healthy people can give. The community is encouraged to donate blood on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Hooker County Community Center to help those who have been seriously injured and need blood products to help them recover.
