June 6 is Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program will be held at the Hooker County Library on Thursday, June 6 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. for children entering kindergarten through 5th grade.This year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.

Nicci Boots, the daughter of Rich and Lucie Boots of Mullen, and a 2000 graduate of Mullen High School, has published a memoir, Bad Luck Boots.“My life sure has been an interesting one, and I’m honestly shocked I’ve survived it all,” Boots said.

The Mullen Book Club will be meeting next on Wednesday, June 19, 6:00 p.m. on the Hooker County courthouse lawn. Bring your lawn chair and join us in discussing “How to Find Love in a Bookshop” by Veronica Henry.Copies of the book are available at the Hooker County Library.
