Mind Polluters to be shown on Sunday

On Sunday, June 4 at 2 p.m. in the Hooker County Library basement, the national documentary “Mind Polluters” will be shown. Attendees MUST be 19 years of age or older to attend this event. “Mind Polluters” was created by a Christian husband and wife team who are professional videographers.

EPIC Option Consumption Tax to be discussed

On Wednesday evening, June 14, Mark Bonkiewicz, Spokesman for the 22 member EPIC Option Strategy Team, will discuss the 2023 EPIC Option Consumption Tax (LRC6A - LR7CA - AM314/ LB79) in Mullen. The location is to be determined, so watch next week’s Tribune for that information.

Annual Mullen Girl Scout Day Camp held last week

by Sooky Marks Last week the Mullen Girl Scouts enjoyed going to the Middle Loup River for three days of crafts, hiking, cooking and just being in nature... with the woodticks and turkeys! Mullen Girl Scouts are so lucky to have a rustic day camp site so close to home!

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful, yet windy Memorial Day weekend. Thank you to the past, present and future veterans of our country. Goldie Little was busy traveling last week with her family down to Branson, Missouri. They attended several shows and enjoyed all their time together.

Mick and Midge Harding enjoyed their company with Uncle Frank Harding, Patty Gannon and Steve Barnes of Pennsylvania. Last Friday, they all enjoyed breakfast at the ranch together.

Mullen Book Club’s next book pick

The Mullen Book Club will meet next on Wednesday, June 21 at 6:00 p.m. on the Hooker County Courthouse lawn. Bring a lawn chair and come join the discussion. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they will meet at the Mullen Arts Center.
