50 participate in Mullen Swimming Pool Water Carnival

by Barb McIntosh On a hot Monday, Aug. 1st afternoon, the Mullen Swimming Pool was the place to be for the Water Carnival. We had 16 little ones signed up for Baby Pool events, along with 34 competing in the Big Pool.

31 ride in annual Bicycle Rodeo

Thirty-one pre-K through sixth graders participated in the Bicycle Rodeo last Wednesday morning, Aug. 3, competing in the events of poles, sponge drop and slowest race. The event was sponsored by the Country Clovers 4-H Club.

Justa Deibler wins Bingo grand prize

Many games of Bingo were played at the Hooker County Community Center last Wednesday evening. $20 gift certificates purchased by the Hooker County Ag Society to Mullen businesses were given as prizes to the various versions of games played.

Werth, Phipps to model at State Fair Fashion Show
