Farewell dinner for Gladys Sexton

The Mullen area community is invited to an open house and farewell dinner for Gladys Sexton and her family this Sunday, Nov. 6th, from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Gladys has served her community well over the past years and we want her to know how much we appreciate her.

Button maker available at library

The Hooker County Library won a button maker in a drawing from the Western Library System. It makes 2.25” buttons or magnets. Some of the uses other libraries have found for it are: name tags for groups, fundraisers, Christmas presents, birthday buttons, sports buttons or photo gift magnets.

Business in ranching workshops next week

Being a rancher right now is not easy. The cost of everything is constantly rising, and cattle prices don’t seem to follow that same trend. Now more than ever it’s important to know your business. The Sandhills Task Force and its partners will host two workshops.

Mobile food pantry here on Nov. 12

A drive through mobile food pantry will be in Mullen on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9-11 a.m. (or while supplies last) at the Hooker County Fairgrounds. Everyone is welcome - no documentation needed. Call the Mullen Assembly of God at 308-546-2253 with any questions.
