by Oakes Miller, MHS freshman On June 19, 1939, Don Younkin was born in the Sandhills. It was the spark of a huge legacy known here in Mullen.During most of Don’s early life, he worked on a ranch owned by his dad. His father was an orphan and was adopted by the Younkins at age 10.
