Faith Miller to model at State Fair 4-H Fashion Show

The Hooker County 4-H Style Revue was held Friday, July 23 at the Hooker County Community Center. Faith Miller was selected to compete at the State Fair 4-H Fashion Show, receiving a purple on her Steam 2 dress. She also received a blue for modeling Beyond the Needle rodeo shirt.

Sharilyn Bader went to Valentine Wednesday for a doctor appointment. Amy Simonson of Purdum brought little Carver and came to visit June Morris early Friday morning. They had lunch together and had a nice visit.

Dean Marsh of rural Kearney came to the Bob Marshes Wednesday morning to do some haying and went home Thursday morning. Bob Marsh attended graveside services for Dean Andersen at Seneca Wednesday afternoon. Peggy Marsh stopped by Dorothy James’ Saturday afternoon.

Vicky Earl wins Shop Local Poker Run

During the month of July, the Tribune sponsored a Shop Local Poker Run for a chance to win $100 cash. Players had to spend at least $10 at participating Mullen businesses to get a card. Poker hands had to have one card from five different businesses. Vicky Earl’s two pairs won the $100.
