Hoyt wins awards at Nebraskaland Days

The winners of the 2021 Nebraskaland Days Competitive Art Show were announced Tuesday, June 22 at the Prairie Arts Center in North Platte. Rick Johnson judged the competition.

New irrigated acres approved for ULNRD

Information & Education Coordinator, Resources Technician 2,500 new acres will be allowed for development throughout the District next year. Each of the five subdistricts has been allotted 500 acres. Interested landowners must apply for any new irrigated acres on a District application form.

Applications open for Kiewit Scholars Program

Non-traditional and applied technology students, low-income individuals and GED recipients may be able to receive financial assistance with tuition, fees and books through the Kiewit Scholars Program at North Platte Community College. Applications will be accepted until Aug. 1.

Changes at the Swimming Pool Park

Several changes have recently been made at Mullen’s Swimming Pool Park - trees and the caboose were removed and cement has been poured for a basketball court in memory of Rusty Moore. The caboose, which was in memory of Matt Bragg, was placed in the park in 1990.
