Join the Mullen Book Club Jan. 20 on Zoom

The Mullen Book Club will meet on Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at 6 p.m. to discuss “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood” by Rebecca Wells. Copies of the book will be available at the Hooker County Library.

Sharilyn Bader went to Rapid City, South Dakota, last Tuesday, Dec. 22 and stayed with her daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Nathan Oliver. She spent Christmas with most of her family there and had a wonderful time. Sharilyn came home Saturday, Dec. 26.

South Hooker

Larry and Georgann French went to Leah and Stuart Carson’s for Christmas Eve. Leila Hicks and Lois Nordahl were Christmas Day guests at Larry and Georgann French’s.

South Cherry

Kenny Bader rode to Kearney with Bob Marsh Thursday. The Bob Marsh family had a late Christmas Saturday at the Wade Edis’. Bob and Peggy’s four children and all of their families were able to attend.

Joy Club to resume

Vacation is almost over and Joy Club will be meeting again on Jan. 6 at the Assembly of God Church basement right after school until 5:00 p.m. All children 3 years old through 6th grade are invited every Wednesday for a time of games, stories, singing and surprises!
