I’m feeling thankful. I opened KoKo’s Palace 15 years ago on Dec. 8, 2005. I woke up one Sunday morning, drew the rough draft of the building on a piece of paper, then I showed it to my husband and asked him to build this for me. Everyday KoKo’s Palace is a learning adventure for me.

Hooker County Historical Society holds last meeting of year

The Hooker County Historical Society met at the Old Hotel/Museum on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020. President Clark called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Members in attendance were Frank Harding, Charlie Jones, Ted and Sue Bonesteel, Ken Clark and Peggy Marsh.

Town of Comstock converts to Christmas village

Once again the sleepy town of Comstock, population less than one hundred, will convert to a Christmas Village from the day after Thanksgiving to New Years Day. The town of Comstock at various points in time had 41 legitimate businesses.
