Upcoming Methodist Church services

John Parsons will be the speaker at Mullen’s United Methodist Church on December 6 and 13. On those Sundays, service time will be 11:45 a.m. Sunday school will still meet at 10:00 a.m., followed with Christmas program practice. Coffee will be served at 11:00 a.m.

Village of Mullen receives $22,000 grant

Mullen - The Village of Mullen was awarded 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) planning funds in the amount of $22,000 to conduct a Drainage Study. Activity will include an exhaustive look at the Village’s stormwater drainage system.

As of press time on Tuesday, Nov. 24, two new cases of COVID-19 had been reported for Hooker County in the last week with test dates of November 17th and 19th.

Join Book Club on Zoom next month!

The Mullen Book Club will meet next via Zoom on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. We will be discussing “On Strike for Christmas” by Sheila Roberts. Copies of the book are available at the Hooker County Library.
