A storm system built up over Mullen on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3 and pounded the vil lage with hail of various sizes with reports of stones up to 2” in diameter! Roofs, vehicles, siding, gardens and more were damaged.

by Gerri PetersonThe Mid-Nebraska Pedal Pullers were in Mullen with the opportunity for ages 4-12 to compete against each other on Saturday, Aug. 2 during the Hooker County Fair. The top three of each division can go on to compete at the Nebraska State Fair. The competition saw 41 participants.

by Gerri Peterson On Saturday, July 19 the Nebraska Methodist College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students pursuing their Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees celebrated their White Coat Ceremony.Among the students was Becca Connealy of Whitman.Becca will start clinicals this fall.
