A storm system built up over Mullen on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3 and pounded the vil lage with hail of various sizes with reports of stones up to 2” in diameter! Roofs, vehicles, siding, gardens and more were damaged.

Hooker County Fair’s Pedal Tractor Pull results

by Gerri PetersonThe Mid-Nebraska Pedal Pullers were in Mullen with the opportunity for ages 4-12 to compete against each other on Saturday, Aug. 2 during the Hooker County Fair. The top three of each division can go on to compete at the Nebraska State Fair. The competition saw 41 participants.
