Thanks to a Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation Bob & Susan Childers Betterment Grant, the Mul len Rural Health Clinic has received a facelift with new siding. The original siding had been repainted several years ago, but it was time for all new siding this time around.

St. Mary’s hosted four Totus Tuus missionaries who engaged area kids and youth June 22-27. Totus Tuus is the motto of Pope St. John Paul II, which means, “Totally Yours Jesus, through Mary.

Most glass containers recycled by Nebraskans are sent to Kansas City or Denver for reprocessing. The city of Tekamah crushes glass locally and provides the ground glass to residents for free. Nebraska Recycling Council, Flatwater Free Press reporting

Mullen’s Sandhills Motel is currently undergoing renovations that involve tearing down old rooms.

Two Mullen artists received awards at the NEBRASKAland Days Competitive Art Show last week, which had 146 entries. The show was held at the Prairie Arts Center in North Platte.
