I am Lori Folk Freeze, the owner of Lots of Love Day Care, which I have operated for 20 years. At one time my day care was the only one in Mullen for three years.I have always provided a loving, safe and learning environment.

Over 40 kids attended Vacation Bible School at Mullen’s Methodist Church last Monday-Friday, June 16-20. The “Everywhere Fun Fair where God’s World Comes Together” was held daily from 9 a.m. - noon, where the lessons focused on being good neighbors. This year’s mission was the Mullen Meals program, with over $200 raised. Gerri Peterson

‘Everywhere Fun Fair’ Vacation Bible School held

Mullen Book Club to meet next July 16

The Mullen Book Club will meet next on Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00 p.m. on the lawn of the Hooker County courthouse. Bring your lawn chair and join the discussion of “The German Girl” by Armando Lucas Correa.Copies of the book are available at the Hooker County Library.

United Women in Faith’s May meeting recap

United Women in Faith met Wednesday afternoon, May 21 in the senior high room of the church. President Sue Bonesteel opened the meeting. Concerns were given and cards were sent or given. Sue gave prayer for situations that weigh heavy on the heart and for comfort to those who are hurting.
