Toby KID entertains at library

Performer Toby KID was at the Hooker County Library last Monday afternoon, June 16. His show, “Silly Adventures” was full of comedy, magic, juggling and more. “You’re one a kind,” he said, and encouraged the audience to embrace their individuality and silliness.

Deb Cox awarded Trail Boss Award

Ruth Nicolaus During the Buffalo Bill Rodeo in North Platte last Saturday evening, June 21, the 2025 Trail Boss Award was awarded to Deb Cox.The Mullen, Nebraska, woman has competed in barrel racing and trained horses for the past six decades.

Golfers of all ages enjoyed the miniature golf held at the Hilltop Gym during alumni weekend last Friday, June 13. The Mullen Alumni Association board would like to thank everyone who made the weekend successful!
The 60th ANAC (Association of Nebraska Art Clubs) Conference was held in North Platte June 11-14 at the Mid-Plains Community College, South Campus, with the ANAC statewide art show also held. The Mullen Arts Center was represented in the show by members Kyle Hoyt, Twila Phillips and Nicole Hoffmann. Nicole Hoffmann, pictured, will be the ANAC president for the next two years. The Summer Reading Program was held at the Hooker County Library last Thursday, June 12, with the theme “Color Our World.” A highlight of the morning was creating their leopards by hand stuffing them and placing a wishing star inside before closing them up.
