The Mullen Commercial Club and Mullen High School’s National Honor Society joined forces for the annual Cedarview Cemetery clean up on Sunday, May 18. Community members of all ages chipped in to mow, weed-eat and dig cactus!

Memorial Day services to be held

A Sunset Service will be held at Dry Valley Church on Sunday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. with AB Cox delivering the message.The church is located 14 miles north of Mullen on Highway 97, then 3 miles west.Mullen’s Memorial Day program will be Monday, May 26 at Cedarview Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.

Large hail and heavy rain caused damage to the Mullen area last Wednesday, May 14, but it RAINED!!! The worst area hail damage was northeast of Mullen and rain reports for Mullen addresses varied greatly - from less than an inch to nearly 7 inches!

Register now for natural resources camp

Nebraska’s NRDs annually host a natural resources camp called Adventure Camp about the Environment (ACE). ACE is open to students who have completed 6th or 7th grade in 2025 and want to learn more about their environment.

United Women in Faith hold April meeting

by Lois Folk United Women in Faith met Wednesday afternoon, April 16 in the senior high room of the church with five members present. President Sue Bonesteel opened the meeting asking for concerns. She gave prayer for God to set for us to live a life and be worthy of it.

On April 23, Drew Folk came from Haxtun, Colorado, to Lois Folk’s. They went to Valentine on Thursday the 24th, and Haxtun on Friday.On Sunday, April 27 Drew, Stephanie and Lois Folk traveled to Pueblo, Colorado, to be with Clayton Gall and help him observe his 80th birthday, which was on Jan. 27.

Cedarview Cemetery clean up Sunday

The Mullen Commercial Club will be doing the annual cemetery clean-up day on Sunday, May 18 at 12:00 p.m., with help from the Mullen High School National Honor Society. The afternoon will start with lunch for all the volunteers at the Cedarview Cemetery.
