Meal delivery service available for Mullen’s senior citizens

For a month now the Mullen churches and Mullen High School’s National Honor Society students have been delivering meals to senior citizens in Mullen.This free delivery service allows residents to order the noon special at Red’s Cafe Monday-Friday and have it delivered to their house.

Anglers and biologists again are joining forces to bring a new kind of fishing tournament to Nebraska.The second year of the Midwest Walleye Challenge will give anglers in states across the Midwest a chance to compete for prizes while collecting important data for biologists.

20,774 Hooker County acres burned

by Gerri Peterson According to Hooker County Sheriff Todd Yost, the March 14th fire in southern Hooker County that was reported in last week’s issue burned an additional 3,002 acres. No one was injured and no buildings or livestock were lost.“Foul play is not suspected,” Sheriff Yost said.
