Free Mobile Pantry to be in Mullen Wednesday, April 2

Food Bank for the Heartland will host a free Mobile Pantry in Mullen, Nebraska, on Wednesday, April 2 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., or until food runs out. The mobile pantry will take place at the Hooker County Fairgrounds, located at 36531 Fairgrounds Road.

Jones named Outstanding ESU Staff Member of the Year

Nebraska Public Media now free on Amazon Prime Video

Lincoln – Nebraska Public Media is now streaming two of its five television channels for free on Amazon Prime Video.The Nebraska Public Media channel and the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel are now being offered as Prime Video channels accessible through Prime Video and Fire TV.

Powder Horn Area boat ramp closed

The Powder Horn Area boat ramp at Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area will be closed until further notice due to damage incurred this past winter.Significant heaving from ice caused the lower portion of the ramp to break off and sink.

NDE seeking public input on new strategic plan

The Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) is seeking input from the public on a new strategic plan. As part of the process, members of the public are encouraged to fill out a survey to help inform the creation of the new strategic plan by April 4, 2025.

Funds available for Nebraska Soil & Water Conservation Program

The Upper Loup Natural Resources District (ULNRD) in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR) administers the Nebraska Soil and Water Conservation Program (NSWCP).
