Pecht Hill spelling correction

by Gerri Peterson Thanks to Gary Phipps for calling to let me know the big hill on Highway 97 south of the Dismal River that locals have called Pecht Hill for decades was misspelled on the front page of last week’s issue. While pronounced “peck” that is not how it is spelled.

Lincoln – The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) has opened the application process for high school juniors and seniors interested in attending the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI). NAYI is one of Nebraska’s biggest agriculture youth outreach events.

NE Extension offers Calculating Annual Cow Costs course

The Nebraska Extension will host another “Calculating Annual Cow Costs” webinar course on March 24, 27 and 31.“We had exceptional interest in the first Calculating Annual Cow Costs course. So, we decided to offer a second course,” said Aaron Berger, Nebraska Extension Livestock Educator.
