Donate blood in Mullen on Wednesday, Oct. 23

Mullen - The community is invited to help save lives by donating blood during Liver Awareness Month this October on Oct. 23, 2024, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Sandhills Community Bible Church.According to the American Liver Foundation, more than 6,000 liver transplants are performed each year in the U.

Calling all artists and photographers! The Mullen Arts Center is hosting its 10th Annual Open Art & Photo Show from October 9-31, 2024. This show is open to youth and adults. Adults are considered to be ages 14 and up.Each person is eligible to enter two pieces into each category.

The Mullen Book Club will meet next on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mullen Arts Center to discuss “Women in White Coats: How the First Women Doctors Changed the World of Medicine” by Olivia Campbell. Copies of the book are available at the Hooker County Library.
