29 participate in annual bicycle rodeo

by Gerri PetersonTwenty-nine pre-K through sixth graders participated in the bicycle rodeo last Tuesday evening, July 30, competing in the events of sponge drop, poles and uphill race. The event was sponsored by the Country Clovers 4-H Club.

July 26th weekend guests of Dave and Catherine Sullivan were cousins Audrey and Kurt Horn and friends Michelle and Stan Hawkins all of Omaha. They went tanking on Friday. Other guests were Mary Ann Carlock of Laird, Colorado, and Bridget Barron of Omaha. On Saturday they attended the car show.

Elvis was in the house!

Chad Vigil, an Elvis Presley tribune artist from Nebraska, performed all kinds of Elvis songs at the Hooker County Fairgrounds arena last Friday evening, Aug. 2. Chad is only 15 years old and did an amazing job - even in his costumes in the heat!
