Mullen swimming pool, park benefit from grants

Since last summer, Mullen swimming pool manager Barb McIntosh has been working on grant applications to improve the swimming pool and park.Three shade canopies were just installed, which were paid for by a $50,000 grant from the Hooker County Lodging Tax.

Area youth have represented Mullen all across the nation this summer!Eighth grader Emerson Thorberg qualified to compete in the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa, June 23-29 in breakaway and team roping with Amry Paxton of Stuart.

ULNRD approves expansion of acres
