Daniel L. Evans, 69, of North Platte, Nebraska. It is with great sadness the Evans family announces his passing on Jan. 12, 2021, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Alliance, Nebraska, on Feb. 7, 1951, to June and Charles “Tex” Evans. Dan graduated from Mullen High School with the class of 1969. He worked hard all his life even into retirement as a rancher. Dan was a true cowboy.
Dan’s grandchildren were his world and one of his fondest memories was his trip to Alaska with Linda. He also enjoyed dancing, hunting and Husker football.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; brother-in-law, Gilbert Sonneman; and father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Buelia Sonneman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Evans; sons, Brad (Tracie), Joe (Brooke); grandchildren, Lincoln, Anna, Mason and Miley; brother, Russ (Iryna); several nieces and nephews; and many other family members.
A private family funeral service will be held at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with A.B. Cox officiating. The burial will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials are requested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Services will be held following all current health directives regarding COVID-19 and masks will be required.
