Donald Floyd Marshall passed away Jan. 6, 2023, at Gordon Countryside Care.
Don was born March 10, 1931, in Hyannis, Nebraska.
He went to country school in Whitman and graduated high school in Hyannis.
After high school he worked on the family ranch with his dad.
Don married Janis (Carl-son) Feb. 14, 1956. He started ranching with his Granddad, Fred Marshall. In 1969 they moved to Cody to manage the Metz Ranch. He retired in 1996 and moved to town.
Don loved trail rides, coyote hunting and riding a good horse. Don was proud of his family and loved any chance to hook up his team and wagon and fill it with family and share stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Joseph Marshall and Cleo Mable.
Don is survived by his wife Janis Jean Marshall, children Taylor (Paula), James (Kathy), Duane (Dana) and Holly (Matt) Fay, 13 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren, brother Dean Marshall and sister Wanda Johnson.
Funeral service for Donald Marshall was held on Jan.
11, 2023, at the Valentine Methodist Church. Burial will take place at a later date.
Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was entrusted with service arrangements.
